List of Corps on next post below
Ok, so it has come to my attention that Pirates don't make enough isk (cause they are always broke), so I thought I'd come up with a way for more pirates to earn more isk through ransoms, yes, ransoms.
Most people won't pay ransoms because its a gamble whether the ransoming pirate will let you go upon payment. So, I've come up with a way to help determine if whether a pirate corp will let you go or not, and thereby creating a system with which you can look up a corp and determine if they will honour the ransom or not.
Each corp listed below will be notated with a for PAY RANSOM, and for DO NOT PAY and a for mixed results.
In order to get on the list, the corp must post they have a money back policy if the pirate does not honour the ransom. (yes, I said HONOUR) I will accept an email from the current CEO in lieu of a post in order to add to the list as well as a mandatory 5mil donation.
In order for the corp to get on the list any player can post a link to their killmail (killmails posted in forum text will not be honoured) in their post along with the portion of the chat where they agreed to let you go and I'll add them to the list. It will be up the the CEO of the alleged corp to pledge to honour ransoms in order to be placed onto the list, we will need 3 positive posts to move them back to the list.
Eventually I foresee a database to look up a corp faster (fast is good when being ransomed I know) But how I really see this working is the ransomer, will post a link to this site in local/PM to the target, showing they will honour the agreement, thereby getting a larger percentage of ransom agreements.
I understand there will be manipulations to this system, so with that in mind if you have a good idea to alter this proposed system, please let me know and I'd be happy to implement it.
As always, this is going to consume lots of time I forsee, so if you are requesting to be added to the list please send a 5mil donation to Pointof Desire. If you used the service and it worked for you, please send me a donation for whatever you think it was worth to you for me to keep this updated. If, however it didn't work for you, please post a note here indicating so, and I'll change their corp status and contact the CEO about the issue on your behalf.
